Are you famous?

You should be but not to everyone.

Real estate is a personal business. We are working to help people with the largest purchase or sale most of them will ever do. We get to see details about their lives no one ever sees (outside of the family). We get to see inside their closets, attics and storage sheds. We get an insight to their financial well being and so much more.

Our goal is to develop enough trust so they will confide in us. We do our best work when we know enough details to really help. This can get really personal and did you expect someone to trust a stranger with that?

When I say famous but not to everyone, I’m talking about what Seth Godin refers to as the smallest viable audience. In a real estate business that works mostly or completely by referral, that is about 100 people.

100 good connections.

Does that surprise you? Did you think you had to reach everyone? Billboards, ad spend and endless hours on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, building a brand? Depending on your goals, it’s really not necessary.

If you want to have a business that closes between 20-30 deals every year, doing it mostly by referral, you can with 100 good relationships in your sphere of influence. I’ve been doing just that since 2004. I started in 2003 so you don’t have to be in business for a long time to do it either.

If you want more than that in transactions, it’s possible with more connections but there is a lid as an individual agent. We can talk about teams and how to scale this (because you can) but I’m here to help the new agent who feels overwhelmed with building a business and getting things going fast.

We work in a 90 day cycle so keep that in mind but you can do this in 90 days or less, of focused activity, applied consistently toward those 100 people.

If you are ready to go I’d invite you to connect with me and I’ll share details on how I did this. You can certainly read some of the articles on my blog but I’m offering a personal connection if you want it.

I mean it.

If you want to schedule a call you can click on this link. It will take you to a calendar where you can request a 30-minute time block. I’ll accept and we’ll get on Google Meet or Zoom to talk face to face. We can go longer than 30 minutes too but we might need to schedule another time.

It’s free and it might just help if you’re stuck. No strings, no pitch, just someone to listen and maybe get you on the path.

I’m here if you want to reach out.

I hope you will.

Thanks for listening,
Jerry Robertson
