Fake Smiles

If it involves fake smiling, I’m not going.

That was on my Facebook feed this week and it made me laugh. I thought about the events I’ve been to and how the smiles were mostly fake.

You can tell, can’t you? Why do we do that? If you can really tell, then why bother? Just to be nice? Nice is good and I try to be nice but can’t you come up with a real smile for some reason?

Why fake it?
