Recruiting calls
Brokers make them and agents get them. I got one today.
I’ve been with KW since I started in 2003. I did move offices to find a team leader more in line with my business model but I’ve been with KW since my start. I am not recruit-able because I believe KW can teach me how to MAKE more money as opposed to saving money on fees and splits. Saving money is a race to the bottom and I certainly don’t want to WIN that race.
Do you? The only thing worse than winning that race is coming in second.
When I said ‘more in line’ with my business model, I’m an agent that has worked by referral from the start. I’ve never made a cold call, circle prospected (cold called around a listing or sale), door knocked (cold-called in person), or called an expired listing/FSBO for a listing. I had a team leader that told me I’d fail if I didn’t cold call so I looked for a different team leader but the company was a constant for me. I knew that it was the right place even if that individual was limited in their ability to teach.
I believe KW can teach me things when I need them. I attended a class on appraisals today because I had questions and KW provided a knowledgeable person to answer them. Other companies do that too but KW knows the things I don’t know that I don’t know and when I’m ready to learn, the teacher is available. All I have to do is ask. I think that is one of the big differences between KW and all other companies.
As an example of this sort of thinking, there are two big national gatherings at KW annually. Even during Covid, we held Mega Camp and Family Reunion and I ‘attended’ both.
Family Reunion is a place to learn things you need, that you know you need. You get to pick break out sessions and classes to fill gaps you want to fill.
Mega Camp shows you things you didn’t know to ask about. It shows you what you don’t know. No other company does that. It’s the #1 reason I am not recruit-able. Truth is, the leadership is geared to help you when you are ready to learn more. All you have to do is ask and they will teach you what you didn’t know that you didn’t know. That’s how we teach you to make more money instead of ‘saving expenses’. Fees, caps and splits are meaningless when you’re making more that you would if you weren’t here.
One statistic that bears out this info is our production volume. If you add together the production volume of all the KW offices in the Atlanta area, it’s equal to our next 5 competitors COMBINED, city-wide.
Success leaves clues. Production volume is not the whole story, but it’s indicative of the kind of success our agents enjoy. Our goal is to help our agents MAKE more money and that makes the expenses insignificant compared to the overall income.
If you want to talk about all this I’m happy to have a discussion. There is certainly more to talk about.
If you want to schedule a call you can click on this link. It will take you to a calendar where you can request a 30-minute time block. I’ll accept and we’ll get on Google Meet to talk face to face. We can go longer than 30 minutes too but we might need to schedule another time.
It’s free and it might just help. No strings, no pitch, just someone to listen.
I’m here if you want to reach out.
I hope you will.
Thanks for listening,
Jerry Robertson
